Welcome!

Who am I?

TL;DR: I design, market, and tell people how to sell stuff.

Longer explanation: I have been in the customer service sector for twenty years, and my humble career has become less customer-centric and more among the nuances and intricacies of the how to sell to customers, rather than the task of selling to customers, which many companies fail in retaining their customer base.

What do I do?

As such, I have been in management, marketing, and ultimately, have found my calling in the world of design, focusing on production, print, illustration, logo development, marketing campaigns, photography, and the occasional dabbling of audio remixing, video capture, animation, and user experience.

Hi there!

Your portfolio for design is… sparse?

As much as I would like to have a more comprehensive portfolio, a lot of my former experience is with non-profits for clients that were bound by non-disclosure agreements, or in situations where my former clientele requires a certain level of anonymity (such as domestic abuse survivors, shelters, proprietary information, and government contracts, for example).

Personal Accomplishments:

Dick All?

Uh, so yeah… I bought this domain when I was burnt out with the design industry not hiring me as a sort of cathartic therapy (in some cases it still is) in which I was considering to dump all my negativity of the industry by belittling design choices, hiring practices, and those that insist that their six year old that could draw better than me.

Don’t get me wrong, I acknowledge that there are some some six year olds that are awesome illustrators and have the possibility of an awesome future lined up for them so long as they don’t fall into the same pitfalls as I have in my professional career, and as such I have decided to not turn against this site into a ball of divisiveness. There is too much negativity in life as it is, and I feel this website could be a tool to improve the perspective of others either through inspiration, guidance, or commiseration of knowing they aren’t alone out there.

And hey, if it leads me or others to some unique opportunities along the way, so much the better.

What do I do outside of this?

Outside of this, I work on developing my knowledge of my field; I go and work on speed-drawing to hone my skills, I take photos of ridiculous or unique items that strike my fancy, and create photo manipulations of whatever is relevant to the current topic. Also, whenever I have some fun money, I collect books on design, symbolism, and programs I use. I also occasionally buy some weird or unique thing that causes me amusement, such as rubber chickens, chattering teeth, tea whisks, or crafty junk for projects I’ll never complete.
